Global Access Program (GAP)

The Global Access Program (GAP) is an initiative designed to expand access to WAI membership by aligning dues with regional economic conditions. This allows more individuals around the world to fully participate in WAI and all member benefits.
GAP pricing is automatically applied to individuals who indicate a country of residence within eligible regions during the join or renewal process. No application or additional steps are required.
WAI Global Access Program
WAI Global Access Program Countries
GAP currently includes select countries across regions such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, India, and parts of Asia.
Eligibility is based on a range of economic factors and is reviewed periodically. The list of eligible countries may evolve over time as the program grows.

We understand this may be disappointing. GAP eligibility is determined using a range of economic indicators and program funding considerations to ensure the program is sustainable and impactful.

WAI is committed to expanding access globally, and we will continue to evaluate opportunities to broaden eligibility over time.

We appreciate your interest and advocacy. While we are not able to add countries on an individual request basis, all regions are periodically reviewed as part of the program’s ongoing development.

Feedback from members is valuable and helps inform future considerations.

No—GAP members receive the same full benefits as all WAI members. The program is designed to reduce financial barriers, not create different membership tiers.
Eligibility is based on widely recognized economic indicators and internal program guidelines, with the goal of expanding access where financial barriers may be greatest.
As the program grows and additional funding becomes available, WAI intends to expand GAP to reach more individuals around the world.

WAI believes that opportunity in aviation should not be limited by geography or income. GAP reflects our commitment to building a more inclusive global aviation community.
