Professional Bio

Ali Faddis is Director, Global Aviation Operations at Amazon Air. In this capacity, she leads aviation-specific functions including aviation standards, training, safety management and oversight, air carrier operations, and network operations. Her passion is to serve Amazon customers through safe and efficient operational execution. She is active in developing talent both internal and external to Amazon.

Prior to joining Amazon, Ali had an eighteen-year career with Horizon Air, the regional arm of Alaska Air Group. She is a certified Airline Transport Pilot, starting her career as a pilot for the airline before holding leadership roles in operations, training, and compliance. During her career at Horizon, she held the FAA-required positions of Director of Operations and Chief Pilot. She pivoted her career to unmanned aviation in 2019, joining Boeing’s subsidiary Insitu as Vice President of Flight Operations. There, Ali managed the Flight Operations team, which was comprised of Deployed Operations, Training, and Aviation Safety. These operational teams contributed to Insitu’s success by providing service to all domestic and international defense customers and supporting product development and delivery efforts.

Ali earned her B.A. in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and her M.B.A. from University of Washington Foster School of Business. Ali served on the Board of Directors for Angel Flight West, a non-profit organization that arranges air travel for individuals with serious medical conditions and other needs, enabling them to receive medical treatment that may otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations.
