Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines/Horizon Air Pilot Hiring Update

Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines just announced our largest fleet order yet, with 105 new 737-10s, five 787s, plus options for 35 more 737-10s. When it comes to international growth, we’ll begin flying to Rome in April and London in May 2026 – with at least seven more international destinations planned by 2030.

Captain Nicole Hansen will cover pilot hiring at Alaska Air Group’s wholly-owned regional carrier, Horizon Air. Topics will include our recently enhanced Pilot Development Programs, including Ascend Pilot Academy and our application process and benefits available through the programs. We will also cover our Experienced First Officer hiring and the qualifications needed to apply.

Horizon Air recently announced a new crew base in Las Vegas and is slated to receive three new E-175s in 2026.
