Sporty's is offering an FAA-approved Airline Transport Pilot Certified Training Program (ATP-CTP) from ABX Air. Registration is now open for classes starting in January and February 2016.

"In addition to a superb training product, Sporty's ATP-CTP course is popular because it's one of the few courses tailored to those not associated with an airline or university program," says Sporty's Academy President Eric Radtke. "Sure, we have many students on their way to airline careers and other professional pilot positions, but they may not be connected to an organization providing the training."

Training takes place at the ABX Air Learning Center in Wilmington, Ohio. The six-day course includes four days of classroom instruction and the remainder of the time in the simulator. The facility features modern, full-motion flight simulators and instruction from professional and experienced airline pilots using the B767 and DC-9 platforms.

Eligible applicants must possess a minimum of an FAA private pilot certification. At course completion an ATP-CTP completion certificate is provided that is then required to take the FAA knowledge test for multiengine ATP. The ATP-CTP completion certificate does not expire.
