FAQs

Conference attire:  Business or business casual attire is appropriate for most of the events at the WAI Conference. The celebration dinner is business attire or military dress.

Student sponsorship:  Each year there are college students who need financial help to participate in the conference. Won’t you make a difference in a future aviator’s life and provide a memorable experience to a deserving student?  Sponsor a student(s) during your conference registration process, $200 per student. Invest in a Student

Photograph release:  WAI representatives will take many digital photographs at numerous events throughout the conference. Through participation in WAI activities, all participants grant permission for their photos to appear in our website, any publication, or display of the organization.

International members:  Unfortunately, Women in Aviation International does not issue letters of invitation to international conference attendees.

Want to attend the conference, but money is an issue? Perhaps your employer would finance the trip, but you're not sure how to sell them on the idea? Don't fret, we've put together a letter that will help you make your case. Click here.

Here are some pointers for the form and helping you get your employers help: Focus on what you will specifically bring back as a return on your employer's investment in you, offer to make a presentation to your co-workers upon return from the conference, or try to explain how attending this conference benefits you, your department, and your organization.

COVID-19: The safety and wellbeing of our members, attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors is always WAI's number one priority. In preparation for our 33rd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, March 17-19, 2022, we will continue to monitor and follow the recommendations and guidelines for the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, city of Nashville and Davidson County Tennessee. As of December 1, 2021, vaccinations will not be required to attend, face masks are strongly encouraged. Please check back for further updates.
