Tampa Bay Aviation Inc. has a history of being founded and supported by female aviators who have acted in a variety of roles in aviation going back 30 years, such as flight instructor, charter pilot, ferry pilot, FBO manager, and corporate pilot. In an effort to continue to support women interested in aviation, Tampa Bay Aviation Inc. is offering one scholarship to a WAI member pursuing a fixed-wing or rotorcraft, private or commercial pilot license, or instrument rating.
The scholarship will have a monetary value of $1,500 which will be in the form of a credit in that amount on their account at Tampa Bay Aviation. Said funds cannot be disbursed to the recipient. Scholarship recipient will be responsible for all written and oral examination fees, as well as any other fees which do not consist of aircraft rental or instruction at Tampa Bay Aviation. The scholarship must be used in pursuit of a license or rating and cannot simply be used for aircraft rental. Preference will be given to members of the Tampa Bay WAI Chapter, but all applicants will be considered.
