As a result of the success of Girls in Aviation Day 2019 by the Greater Delaware Valley, Aviation Influence provided funds to establish a named scholarship, funded on an annual basis, and awarded per the criteria and process as follows.
This scholarship will be awarded to a female, in a strong effort to promote the need for women in aviation, STEM, flight, and aircraft maintenance fields. Applicant must be minimum 16 years of age and show financial need within essay. The applicant must be an actively enrolled student at an approved high school, academy, or institution and in good standing, pursuing an aviation career. The field of study or training must be aviation related.  Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (high school, pre-college requirement, collegiate students) and demonstrate academic potential.
For flight training considerations, applicant must be enrolled, or in progress, with a flight school or flight program, to ensure follow through and proper use of funds. Donor reserves the right to follow up with student and their flight school on progression, to ensure donor intent is met. Preference given to applicant who resides in the Greater Delaware Valley area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and New York.
