This is a one-time scholarship.
Applicant must be a Women in Aviation International member and a member of a WAI chapter in your country. A scholarship will be awarded to an individual working on an instrument, commercial, multi-engine, or flight instructor certificate. Candidate must hold a private pilot certificate and have 100 hours flight time. In addition, the applicant must have passed all written exams for the certificate sought that are required by the aviation authority in her/his country. In your essay tell how the funds will be used, your goals, and any relevant information. One letter of recommendation must be from a pilot who has flown with you and one from your chapter leadership. First preference will be given to a woman that proves prior dedication to charitable or volunteering work for empowering women in their specific fields and as well as women through professional, community, or civic work. The award cannot be used for living expenses. Only online applications are accepted.
