Pratt & Whitney will offer (6) engine maintenance training scholarships to individuals working to become A&P mechanics. Winners will receive the following: One engine maintenance training course (recipients can pick one of the two options provided below). Domestic airfare only (see international travel for more information). Hotel accommodations. The estimated value of this scholarship in US dollars is: $5,000. Recipients can choose from two different types of engine training: A large commercial engine training course at the closest Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Center (CTC) location OR A Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC) small engine training course at the closest Flight Safety International (FSI) location. Applicant requirements: Applicants must be close to finishing Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) schooling and obtaining their Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license OR a graduate of AMT school whom has obtained their A&P license. Applicants must hold an active role as an A&P technician. Applicants cannot be a previous scholarship recipient. International Travel: IF you are selected as a winner and live outside of the United States, Pratt & Whitney will incur the cost of airfare to one of our international training locations in Beijing, China, or Hyderabad, India, or to the closest Flight Safety International facility.
