Scholarships

Scholarship awards are a major benefit of membership in Women in Aviation International and help members reach their goals and advance into the aviation and aerospace careers they have always dreamed about. A total of $875,500 (156 individual scholarships) was awarded in 2019, bringing the total scholarships awarded since 1995 to over $12 million. Delta Air Lines would like to extend a 2020 Summer Internship (13 weeks) opportunity to a student currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate degree in Business Management or Industrial Engineering. In addition to an internship position, the recipient will receive a trip to the 31st Annual International Women in Aviation Conference (includes round trip airfare, hotel accommodations and conference fee). Applicants must be full-time students at the junior or senior level with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale). Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens.

American Airlines will award one $5,000 scholarship to a student currently enrolled in an Aviation Maintenance Technician Program (A&P) or a degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. For over 45 years ATP has been a proud supporter of global general aviation with technology and services that promote safety and quality for maintenance operations. CaseBank, a Division of ATP, has been at the forefront of the industry, for over 20 years, providing troubleshooting reliability and defect trend analysis to engineers and service teams. ATP & CaseBank will award a $1,000 scholarship to a woman pursuing the aircraft maintenance licenses.
