Southwest Airlines will award up to $5000 toward an Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate to a qualified candidate who is a member of Women In Aviation International who has aspirations of becoming an Aircraft Dispatcher. No previous aviation experience required. Candidate must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; have a high school diploma or GED; and have a government issued identification showing they are at least 21 years old. A single page essay that reflects how the scholarship will help you reach your professional career goals must be submitted with the application along with two letters of recommendation. Scholarship awards will be determined by Southwest Airlines and are not offers of employment, or any guarantee or promise of employment at Southwest Airlines, which is an equal opportunity employer.
