2014 Daughter Day

'Girls in Aviation' Day at the Conference

Saturday, March 7

9:00 am – 2:00 pm
For girls ages 10-17

$10 per child (includes box lunch), $10 per chaperone (includes box lunch).

Sponsored by includes Gulfstream Aerospace, the FAA and The Sporty's Foundation.

If there's a girl in your life between the ages of 10 and 17, we have a fun-filled, action-packed day planned to introduce her to aviation-or expand her growing interest. The girls will be in the presence of amazing role models ranging from airline pilots to aircraft mechanics to aviation industry executives. They'll learn how to read a sectional chart, go on a treasure hunt, learn the phonetic alphabet, fly a flight simulator, build an airport, learn to use tools by making wire bracelets, and lots more hands-on activities.

A group lunch with a dynamic speaker is planned, followed by access to the exhibit hall to interact with companies and organizations of interest to them. A college fair with representatives from aviation-oriented schools will be of interest to the older girls. Help encourage the next generation of women in aviation by participating in Saturday's Girls in Aviation Day Dallas. The day's activities are available for $10 per girl and $10 per chaperone (both include lunch).
