Founded in 1968, Data Transformation Corporation (DTC) is a company that designs, develops, and supports custom data processing systems and software for the US Government, its agencies, and its prime contractors. DTC is currently providing software services for the aviation community of users through the Direct User Access Terminal (DUAT) Service and the Operational and Supportability Implementation Service (OASIS) Program.

DUAT Service
DTC is under contract to the FAA to provide the DUAT Service. This service provides for textual weather briefings, weather graphics, graphical TFRs, flight planning and filing flight plans for pilots. DTC has been a DUAT provider since the program's inception in 1989. DTC supports both a direct dial 1-800 service and an Internet capability at www.duat.com. DTC DUAT has a complete national database of FAA provided weather and aeronautical products, in either contracted or plain English text, weather graphics products, and complete flight planning and flight plan filing capabilities. Since DTC DUAT is sponsored by the FAA, pilots can satisfy the FAR requirement for obtaining a briefing by using the Service. All transactions that take place in the DUAT software are history recorded and saved for 15 days and can be reconstructed for use in search and rescue operations.

OASIS Program
The OASIS Program provides state-of-the-art hardware and software for Flight Service Specialist use in the Alaskan Flight Service Stations. The OASIS contract was awarded to the Harris Corporation, Melbourne, FL in August 1997 by the FAA. On July 1, 2011, the FAA awarded a 31/2 year extension to Harris to continue the OASIS program in Alaska. DTC has been a major subcontractor to Harris, from the time of award, and is responsible for the Flight Data Server (FDS) software. The FDS software processes flight plan and alphanumeric weather briefing transactions received from and provided to the Flight Service Specialist.

Over the years of continually serving pilots and supporting FAA Flight Service Specialists, DTC has become dedicated to the mission of increasing the safety of flight for the General Aviation community. Through more thorough preflight capabilities and expanded products that provide pilots better situational awareness once airborne, DTC is committed to the continued evolution of direct access capabilities.

The National WASP WWll Museum seeks to educate and inspire all generations with the story of the WASP; Women Airforce Service Pilots – the first women to fly American’s military aircraft... Women who forever changed the role of women in aviation. They trained at Avenger Field, west of Sweetwater in 1943 and 1944, and were assigned to 120 duty bases to fly all seventy-seven military aircraft that America had. Women Military Aviators, Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed in 1978 to promote and preserve for historical, educational, and literary purposes the role of women pilots, navigators, and aircrew in the service of their country during times of war and peace. Today, we number over 600 members living and stationed around the world.

With such a small percentage of the military aviation world being female, it is especially important to get to know, network with, and mentor other women military aviators. WMA members receive regular electronic newsletters and an annual membership roster. Members gather at local luncheons, informal networking meetings, and at the Biennial Convention. The 2011 convention was held in conjunction with the Women in Aviation conference in Reno, Nevada.

Regular membership includes the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), women graduates of military pilot and navigator training programs, and women graduates of aircrew training programs as specified by each branch of the military services. Associate members include those interested in or affiliated with military women aircrew members and/or the WASP.

To further our charter of promoting and preserving women's roles in military aviation, WMA annually awards a $2500 scholarship to a woman pursuing an aviation degree or license.
