Women in Aviation Activities at EAA AirVenture 2005

EAA AirVenture Women Soar Program: Aviation for Women Editor Amy Laboda is speaking at this two-day program designed to give girls in grades 8-12 opportunities to meet with women involved in aviation, space, engineering and technology careers. They will speak on Monday, July 25

EAA AirVenture Museum Showcase Speakers: Dr. Chabrian is scheduled to speak in the Vette Theater at the Museum on Thursday, July 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on learning to fly. Amy Laboda is also scheduled to speak in the Vette Theater on Thursday, July 28 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on career success in aviation.

EAA AirVenture WAI Connect Breakfast: This year's breakfast, sponsored by Chevron Global Aviation, is Saturday, July 30 at the Pioneer Inn and Marina. Celebrity guests include Chandy Clanton, air show performer, Chris Blum, new FAA Regional Administrator for the Great Lakes Region, and Rudy Frasca . Sean Tucker and the Stars of Tomorrow (Erik Tucker, Nick Milmeyer and Jessy Panzer) will be in attendance and Sean Tucker is the guest speaker. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available for $25 each at WAI's booth #4100.

17th Annual Women in Aviation Conference: The 17th Annual International Women in Aviation Conference will be held from Thursday, March 23 through Saturday, March 25, 2006, in Nashville, Tennessee. This year's Conference will take place at the Opryland Hotel. With the theme of "Reaching New Heights of Success," participants in the 2006 WAI Conference will be immersed in the tactics and strategies necessary for successful aviation careers. More than 3,000 women and men from all segments of the aviation industry are expected to attend.
