Dallas, TX - Women in Aviation, International, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides networking, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for women who are looking for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries, for aviation enthusiasts, and aviation educators, awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships to more than 50 of its members during its 16th Annual International Women in Aviation Conference, held last weekend in Dallas, Texas.
More than 2,600 women and men, students, active and reserve military, corporate and individual members of Women in Aviation, International gathered for the three-day event. Speakers included National Transportation Safety Board Chair Ellen Engleman Connors, Congressman John Mica, as well as executives from major U.S. airline and aircraft manufacturers.
