Women in Aviation, International Conference to Offer Flight Instructor Refresher Clinic

DAYTONA BEACH, FL, January 7, 2005 –Women in Aviation, International will offer a Flight Instructor Refresher Clinic (FIRC) at its annual conference March 10-12, 2005, in Dallas, Texas. The FIRC will be co-sponsored by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and presented by the AOPA Air Safety Foundation.

“This session is open to any flight instructor who needs to renew their certificates and is not limited to WAI members or conference attendees,” said WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian. “We are pleased to work with AOPA on enhancing the safety and professional development of all flight instructors and especially our members.”

The two-day course will be offered on Wednesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 10, 2005, from 800 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fee is $150 for WAI Members and $195 for Non-members. Pilots who are not flight instructors are also welcome to attend. This renewal course is led by Catherine Fish, who has taught more FIRCs than any living speaker. She is a CFII, MEI with more than 6,000 hours and a professor of Aviation Technology at Cochise College.
