Emily Howell Warner to Speak at the Regional Women in Aviation, International Conference

DAYTONA BEACH, FL--Where are you planning to be on October 18, 2003 between 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.? If you are involved with or interested in women in aviation and aviation history, then you owe it to yourself to join Women in Aviation, International’s Regional Conference, to be held at the Wichita Hyatt Regency. Our Luncheon speaker that day will be a true pioneer for women in aviation: Emily Howell Warner, WAI Hall of Fame member, first permanent female pilot for a scheduled U.S. passenger airline and first female member of the Air Line Pilots Association. “Women in the Aviation Heartland: Realizing Career Goals in a Changing Economy,” is our theme, and Captain Warner is just one of an exciting line up of speakers for the day. There will be tours of Wichita State University’s cutting edge research labs and the Cessna Aircraft factories, along with inspirational sessions with WAI Kansas Chapter President Lori Hefel, WAI Founder and President Dr. Peggy Chabrian, and aviation legal experts Laurie Edwards and Kent Jackson and others. Full registration is only $125 for WAI members ($165 for non-members).
