DAYTONA BEACH, FL, March 20, 2003 – Women in Aviation, International,
a non-profit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement
of women in all aviation career fields and interests, today announced an
alliance with Summit Aviation, Inc. Summit Aviation is a woman-owned corporation
based in Golden, Colorado, a Women in Aviation corporate member, and publisher
of the Computerized Aviation Reference Library, a leading electronic aviation
documentation publication.
Women in Aviation (WAI) will offer Summit’s Reference Library at a
25% discount as a new benefit to all WAI members. Summit Aviation will also
provide support to WAI through the donation of a significant portion of
all profits from the promotional offer back to WAI.
Summit also offers subscription services to the Reference Library updated
bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually and these subscriptions
will be offered at the same 25% discount through WAI. The offer period begins
March 20, 2003 and concludes October 31, 2003.
"Summit Aviation, the business, embodies many of the qualities that
make up the typical Women in Aviation corporate member. The business is
about aviation, it is woman-owned and, finally, believes deeply in supporting
other women who would like to have careers in aviation and aerospace through
its generous donation to WAI," says Dr. Peggy Chabrian, president of
WAI.
"We are delighted to associate ourselves with and provide support to
such an important and outstanding organization as Women in Aviation,"
said Paula Woellhaf, Summit Aviation CEO. "The work they perform is
essential to the development of women’s opportunities in the aviation
industry and we are excited to be able to play a part in that effort."
In 1990 Summit became one of the first companies to publish FAA documents
electronically. Over the past 12 years, its Computerized Aviation Reference
Library grew dramatically in both content and capability. It now contains
over 1,000 documents, representing some 35,000 paper pages, and includes
thousands of illustrations. Summit's customers represent all segments of
the aviation industry worldwide. For more information, call (800) 328-6280
