Women in Aviation, International Conference to Offer First Flight Instructor Refresher Clinic

DAYTONA BEACH, FL, March 20, 2003 –Women in Aviation, International will offer its first Flight Instructor Refresher Clinic (FIRC) at their annual conference March 20-22, 2003 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The FIRC will be co-sponsored by AOPA Flight Training magazine and presented by the AOPA Air Safety Foundation.

"We are very excited to provide the opportunity for flight instructors to renew their CFI certificate for up to three months in advance. The FIRC is open to any flight instructor who needs to renew their certificates and is not limited to WAI members or conference attendees," said WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian. "We are pleased to work with AOPA on enhancing the safety and professional development of our members."

The two-day course will be offered on Wednesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fee is $150 for WAI Members and $195 for Non-members. The session will offer attendees a forum to learn from seasoned professionals and share experiences with other certified flight instructors .
