WAI Begins Celebration of First Flight with First Regional Conference

(Daytona Beach, FL) --, Women in Aviation, International is launching its first regional conference with the theme “You Can Fly” as a way of kicking off the 100th year celebration of flight. The conference is intended for both individuals already involved in aviation and to inspire others to get involved and learn to fly. For those already in an aviation field – the theme is intended to motivate them to reach for their goals.

The conference is being held at the Disney Coronado Resort Hotel. Friday evening November 15 is an opening reception sponsored by Comair Aviation Academy. Saturday’s schedule includes speakers Dr. Peggy Chabrian, President and Founder of WAI; Cecelia Hunziker, FAA Regional Administrator; and Aviation for Women magazine editor, Amy Laboda. Well-known air show performer and past national aerobatic champion, Patty Wagstaff, is the featured luncheon speaker.

Topics addressed at the conference will include: Everything you wanted to know about learning to fly but were afraid to ask. For attendees in an aviation career, they can learn how others have handled the difficult juggling act of family and career–and get tips on how to succeed. Those who own a new business can network with pros that can help them avoid pitfalls.

The regional conference is a chance to spend an intimate day in a close-knit environment where questions get direct answers. If you’ve missed the International Conference because it was too far away, or you felt it was too big, this is your chance. Come find out what Women in Aviation, International is all about.

The first 100 registrants will receive a complimentary Disney aviation pin.
