| Bonnie Poberezny
Bonnie Poberezny is Assistant to the President and
Chairman/ Events Manager of the Experimental Aircraft
Association (EAA) and the EAA Aviation Foundation. Poberezny’s
experience with the EAA is wide and varied, and has been
part of her life for more than three decades. She has
more than 14 years of experience as a member of the EAA
staff and has spend an additional 29 years as a volunteer
at EAA functions, including the annual Fly-In Convention
at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Poberezny returned to the EAA staff
in 1993, after previously working with EAA from 1972-82.
As Assistant to the President and Events Manager, her
responsibilities include Convention coordination, meeting
planning, volunteer programs and recognition, as well
as promotion of EAA’s facilities for group tours and special
events.
As an early member of the EAA staff, Poberezny has
served a variety of roles, including Executive Secretary
of EAA Divisions, EAA Advertising Manager and Office Manager.
She also served as finance and merchandise Co-Chairperson
of a number of EAA events, including the World Aerobatic
Championships held in Oshkosh in 1980. As an EAA volunteer,
Poberezny was the first secretary of EAA’s International
Aerobatic Club (IAC) when it was founded in 1970. She
co-chaired IAC’s National Aerobatic Championships in 1982.
Currently, Poberezny also serves of Chairman of Guest
Relations at the EAA Fly-In Convention in Oshkosh. She
also assisted on a number of homebuilt aircraft projects
and soloed a Citabria on her 16th birthday. For 10 years,
Bonnie lived in Texas where she taught computer literacy
as a volunteer and served in a wide variety of education
and civic groups.
