Janice Elrod

Janice started her aviation career as a US Air Force aircraft mechanic then joining the Air Force Reserve as a Technician at Carswell AFB, Texas. Subsequently, Janice accepted a position with the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contract Administration Service (DCSC) as a Quality Assurance Representative. She worked on such projects as the overhaul and modification of the Presidential aircraft, the flying command post, and the AWAC's airplane. Janice was later promoted to headquarters staff, after moving through a series of position with DCSC Janice accepted a position with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Janice has worked for the FAA in Long Beach, California and Washington, DC. Presently, Janice is a Technical & Program Management Specialist in the Manufacturing Inspection Office, Fort Worth, Texas.

Janice is actively involved and has been elected as an officer in several aviation organizations. Janice is the current secretary for Women In Aviation, International. Janice has be recognized for her efforts to educate others about the opportunities for women in aviation and has received the FAA Administrators Superior Achievement award for her accomplishments in helping ensure that women are represented in the FAA.
