Join other WAI members for the WAI Regional European Conference in beautiful Surrey, England, just outside of London, this November 5-6 for a conference you'll remember as being just plain supersonic! WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian and Executive Board member Jane Middleton have worked tirelessly with volunteers from our Southern England and Box D Chapters to put together an exciting two days of events that will include the opportunity to sit on an operational British Airways Concorde whilst former Captain Mike Bannister narrates your virtual "flight."

Come discover more about the business of flight test development, what commercial, military and corporate aviation is about, and how women are thriving at all levels, all over the world, through WAI's extensive networking and mentoring system. Meet aviation enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world, all while enjoying the extensive collection of artifacts at the Brooklands Museum.

The Hilton Cobham Hotel is just 25 miles from central London. Half an hour from Heathrow Airport and only 40 minutes from Gatwick Airport. All rooms at the Hilton Cobham hotel have high speed internet access.

Getting to the Brooklands Museum:

By car: The Museum is between Weybridge and Byfleet, just a few minutes from Junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 London to Portsmouth trunk road. Leave the A3 at the Painshill junction (A245) and follow the brown 'Brooklands Museum' signs.

Via rail or bus: The nearest railway station is Weybridge (less than a mile away) which is on the Woking and Waterloo line. From there, the Arriva bus route 436 serves Woking, Sheerwater, Byfleet, Mercedes-Benz World/Brooklands Museum and Weybridge Station. Friday, 5 November

Friday’s Opening Reception includes the Brooklands Concorde Experience. Relive the excitement of the supersonic age with a 30-minute visit on board Concorde G-BBDG.

Take your seat in the front cabin for a virtual flight, piloted by Captain Mike Bannister who will afterwards share his experiences. Visitors may see the Concorde Simulator free of charge, subject to operational constraints. The Museum will offer special "At the Controls of Concorde" packages on Friday and Saturday.

Special Prize Drawing: The Brooklands Museum has generously donated live simulator sessions for four lucky delegates. Winners will be chosen from the names of all attendees and announced at the opening reception.
